The National Information Technology Development Agency (@NITDANigeria) proudly participated in the 2024 Innovation and Sustainability Forum (ISF) Summit held at the University of Ibadan International Conference Centre, Oyo State. The summit, themed “Empowering Innovation, Accelerating Growth,” served as a hub for ecosystem builders, investors, entrepreneurs, operators, and policymakers from across Africa to share insights, celebrate successes, and collaborate on transformative projects that drive economic and technological advancement.
Representing NITDA’s Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, was Dr. Aristotle Onumo, Director of Stakeholders’ Management and Partnership. Dr. Onumo delivered a compelling keynote speech on “The Role of Regulatory Frameworks in Accelerating Digital Innovation Across Africa.” He emphasized the critical need for adaptive, inclusive, and forward-thinking regulations to foster innovation, build sustainable tech ecosystems, and position Africa as a global player in the digital economy.
During his address, Dr. Onumo highlighted NITDA’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for digital innovation through strategic policies, partnerships, and capacity-building initiatives. He underscored the importance of aligning regulatory frameworks with emerging technologies to unlock opportunities for startups, investors, and tech enthusiasts across the continent.
The ISF Summit 2024 featured dynamic panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions, providing a platform for participants to explore strategies for sustainable growth and inclusive development.
