My Boyfriend And I Won’t Get Married Because We Have To – Halle Berry

Hollywood actress Halle Berry’s boyfriend, Van Hunt, has said that the movie star has put his marriage proposal on hold.

He recently shared that he has already popped the question, but Halle never gave him a yes or no answer.

Speaking on Today.com during a joint interview with Berry on the June 4 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, Van revealed that his proposal is still up in the air at the moment with no sign of a response coming anytime soon.

“I put out the proposal, and it’s still on hold as you can see. It’s just out there floating. You know, maybe you can encourage her,” he said.

Reacting on the show, Berry disclosed that both of their past marriages have influenced her to know that they don’t have to get married to validate their love.

“Well, I’ve been married three times. Van has been married once, and so no, we don’t feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way. We don’t,” she said.

She further clarified that while she is not reading to tie the knot with Van now, it is an idea she is open to in the near future.

According to her, out of all the people she has dated and married in the past, Van is the most qualified to be her husband, so she definitely feels like they would be man and wife someday.

She, however, concluded that they will not get married because they feel like they have to, but only because they want to.

“I think we will get married just because, out of the people I’ve been married to, this is the person I should have married. And I feel like I should, we should get married, but it’s not because we feel like we have to. I think it’s something that we would like to do just because we want that expression,” she added.
