Following the horrible execution of Deborah Samuel, a Christian female student at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Wamako, a Sokoto government aide has warned that more Christians in Nigeria will be slain if they say things considered derogatory to their venerated Prophet Muhammad.

In a recent post on his Facebook page, Anas Mohammad Sani, a personal assistant to the Sokoto finance commissioner, claimed that Ms. Samuel was murdered in cold blood because she was careless with her words.

Zara Oyinye, a pro-President Muhammadu Buhari administration social media consultant, took to Facebook to react to the Sokoto mob’s killing of the Christian student.

Mr Sani, also known on Facebook as Uncle Anas Dakura, responded to Ms Oyinye’s post by claiming that a Muslim mob had justified the murder of Ms Samuel.

He warned, “Muslims don’t take insults against beloved prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in whatever form.”

Justifying the gruesome murder of the female Christian student, Mr Sani said, “The earlier our Christian brothers and sisters understand this, the better for all of us. May the recklessness of our tongues never drive us to (an) early grave.”

On Friday morning, the so-called Sokoto government’s assistant doubled down, chastising people who were upset by the Christian student’s death.

“We have just a life to live and enjoy. We can make noise on Twitter and condemn the mob action using the Queen’s English. However, that cannot bring back Deborah back to life. More so, if anyone will repeat it tomorrow, the probability of being served same meal is 99.9%,” Mr Sani declared
