Among his siblings, Rodney is the eldest one. He had a younger sister named Denise Tyson born on 14 June 1964 in Brooklyn, New York. She was married to an Anderson family and in February 1990, she was found unconscious by her husband at their home in St. Albans. Right at that moment, she was taken to the hospital but could not survive. Unfortunately, she died of a heart attack just at the age of 24.

Mike Tyson’s brother Rodney is a brain surgeon as per his brother Mike. In a podcast with Canelo Alvarez, Tyson’s younger brother revealed his work and said,

“I have a brother that’s a brain surgeon. I can f***ing barely read and write and this guy’s a brain surgeon and s***

Mike further explained,

He’s the No1 trauma guy in the country. He’s awesome. He’s taken bullets out of some of my friends.

Moreover, the 61-year-old celebrity sibling also worked as a Surgical Physician Assistant in the trauma center at the Los Angeles County- University of Southern California Medical Center. As per his LinkedIn, he has been a physician assistant since August 1993.

Rodney retired in October 2021 as per his Facebook info. Prior to working as a surgeon, he was a Hospital corpsman in U.S. Navy.
