May God Take My Life If I Started My Ministry For Financial Gain – Pastor Jerry Eze

Lead pastor of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze, has said that he is not a professional pastor.

The brain behind the ministry responsible for the popular online prayer platform, New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), emphasised that he never became a man of God for financial gain.

Speaking during a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, he shared that contrary to what some Nigerians have chosen to believe, he didn’t start his ministry out of selfish interest.

He declared that God can take his life the day he becomes a professional pastor, stressing that his calling and ministry will always be about God and not himself.

“I’m not a professional pastor, the day I become a professional pastor, let God kill me. The day it ceases to be about God and be about Jerry let God close down everything,” he said.

Despite not defining who a professional pastor is, Jerry Eze’s comments suggested he could be referring to clergymen who open churches to uplift themselves.

The man of God noted that when he embarked on his ministerial journey years ago, he never anticipated the level of success he is presently enjoying, reiterating that he only decided to follow the path his Creator paved for him.

He concluded by saying that knowing God’s assignment for his life is the reason he’ll keep focusing on the testimonies from his congregation, not the criticisms from unbelievers.

“I didn’t plan to be here, this is not something you plan that at some point you’re going to be big and the world will hear of you.

I know what my assignment is, I know what God has called me to do, and it has consumed me.

I don’t care what anybody thinks or feels but the encouragement is when I see those smiles and hear those testimonies,” he added.
