A Port Harcourt resident has raised alarm after discovering that neighbours in his compound allegedly carried out an illegal electricity connection linking all apartments to his personal meter while he was away in Lagos.
The netizen identified as Fimbosky21 took to the social networking platform, X to share this.
Man discovers neighbour’s thievery
The man, who shared his experience online, said he returned to find that every unit in the building had been diverting power from his meter, effectively making him responsible for the entire compound’s electricity consumption.
He expressed shock and frustration over the situation, describing it as a blatant act of exploitation. According to him, the illegal connection had been running for weeks, leaving him with accumulated charges he did not incur.
Man vows to lock them up
The resident, clearly angered, hinted that those responsible would face legal consequences, stating that the “jail will be unstoppable” for the individuals involved.

“Came back to PH to find out that people in my compound have ran an illegal light connection. As it stands, all the apartments in my compound is connected to my meter, and they’ve been using my light since I went to Lagos.
