The Anambra State Government has announced a restriction of movement across the state from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024, to ensure the smooth conduct of local council elections.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, the restriction aims to maintain peace and order during the electoral process organized by the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC).
“Ndi Anambra are hereby informed that there is a movement restriction throughout Anambra state on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., as the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) requested,” Mefor said.
