Mrs. Hauwa Adam Nuru, the spouse of MD of the First City Monument Bank has refuted claims of filing a divorce after her hubby was found himself in a paternity scandal.
Recall that the MD of FCMB, Adams Nuru was making headlines on popular blogs after he reportedly had a romantic affair with former staff of his insitution, Moyo Thomas. Reports revealed that the two children in Mr. Tunde marriage belonged to him. Just a month ago, Mr. Thomas died after finding out that the children were not his.
Reacting to this, Mr. Nuru is currently on leave as the FCMB management investigates his case. Meanwhile, Sahara Reporters reported that Mr. Nuru’s wife was set to seek divorce.
In a statement released on January 16, Mrs. Nuru refuted the reports.
Her statement in part reads
“I want to clarify for the avoidance of doubt that I am still very much with my husband. This fake news was published by an online newspaper in a calculated attempt to further demonise my beloved husband and a loving father.
Let me reiterate that at no time did I contemplate leaving my matrimonial home or filing for divorce as no grounds exist for such”
