Labour Party Has To Appeal Against The Ruling Of Kano State Federal High Court – Inibehe Effiong

A Nigerian lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has disclosed that the Federal High Court in Kano has no Jurisdiction to give a ruling concerning the failure of the Labour Party to submit the party’s membership list to INEC.

According to Inibehe Effiong, despite the controversies surrounding the judgement of the Kano State Federal High Court, the Labour Party has to appeal the case in the Court of Appeal.

Remember that a Federal High Court in Kano had ruled that the votes that Alex Otti got in Abia State and the votes Labour Party candidates got in Abia State and Kano State were wasted votes due to Labour Party’s failure to submit party’s list to INEC.

Some individuals has said that the judgement of the court is baseless because it lacks jurisdiction to entertain the case, however, Inibehe Effiong was of the opinion that no matter how ridiculous a court ruling appears to be, those persons that feels aggrieved by the court ruling has to appeal the ruling in a higher court.
