Kye shares a younger sister named Lacey Howell. His sister completed her studies at Southwest Mississippi Community College in 2017, and at that time, Lacey was already married to Jay Howell.

On 27th April 2017, while congratulating his sister for completing college, Kelley also left a short message for his family. The caption reads,

Just want to say congratulations to my baby sister for completing college while being a full time mommy and taking care of me and her husband jay, I always said no one would ever be good enough for her but she found an ole boy I like pretty good Haha. Kye Kelley went to South Pike Senior High School, in Magnolia, Mississippi. He completed high school with a 3.83 average with a partial scholarship for his college studies.

Kye Kelley Started His Car Racing Career When He Was Just 15

As said above, he left pursuing his education after high school. And Kye Kelley then began working to make some money for his family. At the age of 13, he had a couple of odds jobs including milking cows for Wayne Jacobsen and bagging groceries. His main motive was to save money and to become a race car driver.

When he turned 15, he bought his first car from Boyd with the money he had been saving. But, without a license, he couldn’t become one. He again began doing odd jobs. At the time, Kelley joined an oil refineries company.

Within 13 years, he became a superintendent and one of the youngest bosses in the company’s history. However, his dream wasn’t still filled. Although he had several race cars including shocker, kye was still a superintendent, not a car racer.

His Journey As A Car Racer Began Doing Street Racing

While Kye Kelley was still working at oil refineries, he also began doing street racing among his local friends. Before becoming a car racer, he tried his hand at dirt bike racing for short time and then became a car racer. Later, Kye did lots of grudge racing too. They used to bet money and compete against each other. Kye once said, “It was just a fun thing to do.”

Kye Kelley’s Marriage With His Wife Alisa Mote Didn’t Go Long

Kye Kelley’s ex-wife Alisa Mote is a nurse whom he first met in the late 2000s. Later, they started dating and were in a relationship for some years. As per sources, Kye and his then-wife Alisa got engaged in March 2014.

The following year, in 2015, Kye and Alisa officially exchanged their vows. Similarly, their wedding was held in a private place and was witnessed by their family & close ones.

Kelley Started Dating The Drag Racer Lizzy Musi: Is She His New Wife?

Soon after the divorce from his wife Alisa, Kye started dating Lizzy Musi who is also a drag racer. The couple met each other during a racing event, where Kye was a participant and a good friend of Lizzy’s father, Pat Musi. Also, her father was the one to introduce them.

In fact, since they have shared the same love for car racing, it didn’t take long enough for them to become friends and then boyfriend and girlfriend.

After dating for over a year, Kye made a plan to ask his girlfriend Lizzy to marry him but only if he win a no-prep kings event. Although the racer couldn’t make it to the win, Kelley won his girl’s heart and proposed to his long-time girlfriend Lizzy. And Key lather said, “I’m winning right?”

He was overwhelmed by his girlfriend and expressed his happiness even after losing the event,
