It Is Insulting For Govt Official To Try To Shut Down The Press, I Stand With Ayo – Rufai Oseni

Popular anchor of the morning show on Arise TV, Rufai Oseni has queued behind his colleague, Ayo Mairo-Ese who was called out by The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

It would be recalled that Abike Dabiri-Erewa took to her Twitter account to accuse the journalist for not being professional.

Dabiri-Erewa made the call her official Twitter handle on Wednesday, after Ayo Mairo-Ese accused her of calling Nigerian youths as cultists and drug dealers on her show.

This is following her analysis on the controversial comments of a UK-based Nigerian Youtuber, Emdee Tiamiyu about Nigerian students in the United Kingdom. Mairo-Ese stated that both President Muhammadu Buhari and Dabiri-Erewa are demarketing Nigeria.

Reacting over the development, Rufai Oseni said it is insulting for somebody that holds government position to be acting in the manner Abike is exhibiting.

“It is insulting for Govt official to try to shut down the press.I stand with ayo.” Rufai said.
