Leader of the 35-member-elect Labour Party caucus of the House of Representatives, Hon. Victor Afam has appreciated the Peoples Democratic Party for making it possible for the members-elect of the Labour Party to win their respective elections during the last general elections.

Speaking at a retreat organized by the PDP for elected officials in Bauchi state in a video made available by Channels TV, the Labour Party chieftain said if not for the mistake the Peoples Democratic Party made during the last election, it won’t have been possible for all of them to have emerged under the platform of the Labour Party.

He however noted that as members of the Labour Party, what binds them together with the Peoples Democratic Party is that they are all part of the opposition.

He said “I thank the PDP, if the PDP did not make the mistakes it made, probably the 35 strong member-elect of the Labour Party in the coming 10th Assembly, would not have been, so thank you. I thought we are coming for a retreat of the minority parties which is actually what is supposed to be. What is binding us together is the fact that we are all in the opposition.”
