Popular singer and rapper Cynthia Morgan has reacted to Peter Okoye of P-Square involving her in his online posts about his elder brother, Jude Okoye.
She recently shared that the Okoye family made her look like a weak person online during her back and forth with them.
Reacting via her social media page, Cynthia said that Peter only voiced out when he realized his family members were playing him as well.
According to her, she does not like her name popping up in matters related to the Okoye family, and she blames herself completely for listening to them in the first place.
“I have a mixed feeling about my name popping up like this. I am not a weak person. Certain family members made it look so… you @peterpsquare included… until you found out what they were doing to you too. Na me listen to una sha,” she said.
The rapper suggested that Peter, who publicly backed her back in 2020 when she called out her former label boss Jude Okoye, later admitted that his actions weren’t necessarily out of concern for her.
Cynthia disclosed that after visiting Mr P alongside her mum to appreciate him for his support, he blatantly told her that he didn’t show concern online because he cared about her, but because he wanted Nigerians to know that his brothers have been up to no good.
She stated that Peter categorically said that it was impossible for her to win a battle against Jude Okoye because he is richer than her.
“In 2020 after my interview and those tweets from Peter, I went to him with my mum to thank him… he categorically told me I can’t fight his brother, that his brother is richer than me and that his stance online wasn’t because he cared for me… he did it because he wanted to let the world know the reason for some of his actions and that his brothers were no good,” Morgan said.
The lyricist concluded by saying that after moving on from the matter, she will not tolerate Peter coming online to use her name in a disparaging manner.
“This one meeting broke me and I moved on… till they labeled me crazy.
“In 2023, I told him how he treated me in 2020 and he apologized only for me to wake up this morning again to see him using my name in a disparaging manner and that will not be tolerated,” she added.
