I Believe If Buhari Leaves Power, There Would Be A Revelation Of What Happened In The Last 8yrs–Sani

Shehu Sani, a former senator and civil society rights advocate from Nigeria, has advised the new administration to explain to Nigerians what they have inherited from the outgoing administration.

In an interview with Arise, the senator emphasised that just though they belong to the same party as them, they shouldn’t be required to provide coverage for them even if it can have an impact on them.

It would not be simple for the next president, who will take office on May 29, Shehu Sani said, adding that the incoming government must expose the truth about what they have taken over from the previous administration.

According to him, by the time Muhammadu Buhari leaves office, “I believe there would be a lot of revelation as to what actually happened in the last 8 years of his administration, and the best way to do it is for the incoming administration to come out openly and tell Nigerians the truth of what they have inherited, but if you cover them on the ground that you are from the same party, the roof will fall on you.”

It would be accurate to state that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, is getting ready to succeed Muhammadu Buhari, a fellow party member who has served as president of Nigeria for the past eight years.
