What is yeast infection or vaginal candidiasis?

Answer: Yeast Infection is a fungal Infection that causes irritation, discharge and intense itchiness of the vaginal and vulva.

Causes of Yeast Infection or Vaginal candidiasis:

1. Hormonal changes during pregnancy,breast feeding or menopause or if you are taking birth control pills.

2.The use of Vaginal sprays.

3.The excessive and chronic use of antibiotics

4. Douching

5. HIV

6. Diabetes

7. Pregnancy

Symptoms of Yeast Infection or Vaginal candidiasis

1.Watery vaginal discharge.

2.Thick, white, odourless vaginal discharge with cottage cheese appearance.

3.Vaginal pain and soreness.

4.Redness and swelling of the vulva.

5. A burning sensation during sexual intercourse etc.

6. Vulva itching

Complicated yeast infection

You might have a complicated yeast infection if:

You have severe signs and symptoms, such as extensive redness, swelling and itching that leads to tears, cracks or sores

You have four or more yeast infections in a year

Your infection is caused by a less typical type of fungus

You are pregnant

You have uncontrolled diabetes – sugar level not in check.

Your immune system is weakened because of certain medications or conditions such as HIV infection or cancer.

?How are vaginal yeast infections diagnosed?

Yeast infections are simple to diagnose. Your doctor will ask about your medical history. This includes whether you’ve had yeast infections before. They may also ask if you’ve ever had an STI. The next step is a pelvic exam. Your doctor will examine your vaginal walls and cervix. They’ll also look at the surrounding area for external signs of infection.

Depending on what your doctor sees, the next step may be to collect some cells from your vagina. These cells go to a lab for examination. Lab tests are usually ordered for women who have yeast infections on a regular basis or for infections that won’t go away.

How to cure Yeast Infection or Vaginal candidiasis.

Ingredients :

1.Ginger.

2.Scent leaves

How to use the ingredients:

1. Buy a handful of ginger ,rinse them with salt solution and dry them in the sun for 4 days . Make a fine powder of the gingers by blending them .

2. Pluck 2 handful of Scent leaves,rinse it and add 2 liters of water to it. Boil the leaves for 20 minutes and add 20mls of powdered ginger to it . Strain 200mls of the Decoction and drink it first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening. Warm the Decoction the following day and take the same dosage first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening.

Repeat the process when the first decoction gets finished. While taking this Decoction ,make a decoction of scent leaves without ginger and make a sitz bath with it first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening for 7 days and say byebye to Yeast Infection or Vaginal candidiasis.
