How To Send Money Using Capitec USSD If You Don’t Have Airtime

If you’re a Capitec Bank user then you know the struggles of wanting to send someone money when you don’t have airtime or the app, it is frustrating to spend money first on airtime when at first you didn’t plan to do so, however here is a simple hack that will change your life and save you all that extra airtime you buy without planning.

Step 1: The first thing you to do is that you have to type in the USSD string that you would normally use when buying airtime. Doing will will give you a list of the accounts that you have in your card, for example if you have more than 1 account it will give you a list of the accounts that you have in the card. The next step is shown in the image below.

Step 2: Once you have done step 1 successfully it will show you something as the picture above. Instead of selecting an account, you have to type in the USSD string that you normally use for sending money, which is *120*3279# . Once you have done this successfully it will take you directly to the menu as shown in the picture below.
