Hon. Larai Inaugurates New Officials To Drive Progress In Jaba LGA

In a significant step towards reinforcing effective governance and responsive leadership, the Executive Chairperson of Jaba Local Government Area, Honourable Larai Sylvia Ishaku, officially inaugurated the newly appointed supervisory councillors and special advisers, which held at the Local Government Secretariat. The event signified a fresh commitment to bolstering public service and promoting sustainable development within the local council.

The swearing-in ceremony was marked by an atmosphere of unity, purpose, and optimism. It set the tone for a transformative administrative chapter aimed at delivering measurable results for the people of Jaba and the broader Kaduna State.

Addressing the newly inaugurated officials, Hon. Ishaku emphasised the crucial role the appointed officials will play in delivering progress to the community. She called on them to utilise their individual expertise and knowledge to foster development, improve service delivery, and uplift the socio-economic wellbeing of the people.

“Our mission is centred on putting people first,” she said. “We must all pull together, combining our strengths to ensure that our governance reflects transparency, accountability, and service with integrity.”

Hon. Ishaku further reiterated the importance of unity and a collective approach, urging the new councillors and advisers to engage in teamwork spirit that upholds the shared values of inclusivity and responsibility. “the newly inducted team must maintain high ethical standards, transparency, and unwavering professionalism” Hon. Ishaku appealed. She also reassured them of the administration’s full support in enabling them to function efficiently, stating that her office would provide a conducive environment for productive service.

The group also takes a critical stance against Usman Jibrin of the Accord party and Muritala Yakubu Ajaka of the SDP, accusing them of leveraging the current Igala situation for personal gains and vendetta. The ILF asserts that such actions have diverted attention from the genuine aspirations of the Igala community, necessitating a redirection and repositioning ahead of future elections.Ibrahim Oma Koji Attah, in a statement on behalf of the ILF, affirms Hon. Leke’s friendship and sensitivity towards the Igala community, praising his track record of avoiding reckless statements or derogatory remarks about the largest tribe in the state. Furthermore, Oma-Koji Attah extends a call to other Igala candidates, urging them to foster collaboration and ensure that the historical relationship between the East and the West remains mutually beneficial.The group uses this platform to firmly caution Yahaya Bello against resorting to thuggery during the 2023 elections, asserting that vigilant eyes will be monitoring the process to ensure a fair and just outcome. Additionally, the ILF condemns the continuous misappropriation of workers’ salaries by the government and places confidence in the Leke/Omede ticket to address this pressing issue.Meanwhile,the ILF encourages the Igala and Bassa communities to regard the people of Okun as brothers, fostering unity among the regions. The group places responsibility on Igala leaders who have engaged in unscrupulous dealings with Usman Jibrin and Muritala Ajaka, thereby undermining the integrity of the 2023 election process. The ILF firmly maintains that the return of the Ebira community to Lugard House in January 2024 must not be allowed.

“I encourage you all to serve with integrity and remain focused on delivering results,” she stated. “Our citizens deserve nothing less than dedication, honesty, and excellence in leadership.” She noted that citizens’ confidence in leadership is earned through action, transparency, and fairness, which the new team is now tasked to embody.

In a rousing appeal to the people of Jaba LGA, Hon. Ishaku encouraged full support and cooperation with the newly appointed officials. She reminded the community that the growth and success of Jaba Land and Kaduna State rest on collective effort and mutual respect between the administration and the residents.

“As a community, we must support the positive vision of our administration, the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, and the policies of the APC government,” she said. “Progress is a shared responsibility.”

Lastly In a collective response, the appointed officials pledged their commitment to the development of Jaba LGA. They affirmed their loyalty to the vision set forth by Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku, promising to serve diligently and to uphold the principles of good governance of Governor Uba Sani and the APC administration.

“We are committed to the transformation, sustainable growth of Jaba Local Government, the development of Kaduna State and the success of Honourable Ishaku’s administration,” the appointees stated in unison.
