Governor Nyesom Wike and Atiku Abubakar have resumed their hostility- House of Rep member

According to a news that was published by the Leadership paper online yesterday morning, it was reported that an elected member of the House of Representatives, on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who craved anonymity has said that their presidential candidate in the last presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the outgoing governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, have resumed hostilities but, this time around, it is a war to determine who becomes the leader of the Minority Caucus in the 10th House of Representatives.

He said, “Governor Nyesom Wike and Atiku Abubakar have resumed their hostility. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has thrown his weight behind Honourable Oluwole Oke, who is representing the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, and the current chairman of the Public Account Committee in the 9th Assembly. But, the governor of Rivers State, is supporting for Honourable Kingsley Chinda, who is representing the Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency of Rivers State.”

Further talking, he said if people can recall, Governor Nyesom Wike, also supported Chinda for this position in the 9th Assembly but, Chinda could not make it because the efforts of Governor Nyesom Wike, to his favour were frustrated by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and few other governors, who threw up Honourable Ndudi Elumelu, who is representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State, and who eventually emerged as leader of the minority caucus of the 9th House of Representatives.

He said, “The members-elect on the banner of Peoples Democratic Party, are bow divided into two camps, which are “Greater Minority” and “Minority Apex.” Each of them are glamouring for either Hon. Oke or Hon. Chinda. The two groups have Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Nyesom Wike as their patron and sponsor. The Greater Minority and the Atiku faction in PDP, are accusing their counterpart in the Minority Apex of planning to hand over the party over to Wike.”
