The Nigeria Police Force has alerted the public about a fake document circulating online, claiming that officers attached to certain individuals should immediately return to their bases.
In a statement on Friday, Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the document, allegedly signed by “CSP Suleiman Abdullahi,” Admin Officer of 50 Police Mobile Force (PMF) Squadron, Abuja, is entirely fraudulent.
“There is no officer by the name CSP Suleiman Abdullahi serving in 50 PMF Squadron, nor does any CSP hold the position of Admin Officer in any PMF squadron,” Hundeyin clarified. “This is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and create confusion.”
He further explained that the withdrawal of police officers from VIP duties, as directed by the Presidency, is ongoing but being implemented in a structured, phased manner. “Our priority remains the safety and security of all Nigerians. Measures are in place to ensure absolute maintenance of law and order during the transition,” he added.
The Force urged Nigerians to rely on official channels for verified information and refrain from sharing unverified documents.
