Everything You Need To Know About Lagos' First Bridal Fashion Week

A few months ago, we announced that we’re getting a bridal-themed fashion week in Nigeria, and it’s finally almost here!

Given that the wedding industry in Nigeria is worth millions of dollars, it makes sense that there is a growing niche for wedding fashion. That’s why Call Her Classic will be hosting Lagos’ very first Bridal Fashion Week (LBFW) from May 4-6

Wedding culture in Nigeria is huge, and wedding fashion plays a massive role in this — if you don’t believe us just check your Instagram feed on any Saturday morning! In light of this, Lagos Bridal Fashion Week is a great initiative to bring us a one-stop shop for everything wedding fashion in Nigeria!

Speaking to Naijaonpoint about what to expect, the LBFW team said:

“LBFW promises to be packed with opportunities for brides and grooms to find their perfect wedding outfits and complimentary accessories under one roof here in Lagos.

We have curated a selection of the best local and international wedding fashion vendors and designers to provide guests with a world class experience at the event.”

With designers such as Yemi Kosibah, Toju Foyeh, Andrea Iyamah, Mai Atafo, April by Kunbi, Hudayya, Ese Azenabor, Kimono Kollection, Patrick Ayanski and more presenting runway shows/installations, we’re expecting the fashion show to be amazing.

Apart from that, there will also be designer installations by our finest wedding dress designers — Andrea Iyamah, April by Kunbi and Mai Atafo — a bridal boutique which will house exhibitions and pop-up stores, private consultation with local and international designers, and masterclass sessions with wedding industry experts.

It seems like the organizers have left no stone unturned to make LBFW the ultimate wedding fashion destination in Lagos, and we’re very proud media partners! The entire experience is free and open to all, barring the runway shows which require tickets you can buy right here.

Now, we don’t have to wait for a Ralph and Russo or Vera Wang runway to “ooh” and “aah” over stunning wedding dresses, because we have our own coming really soon!
