Emir Sulu-Gambari Hails Ooni of Ife at 10 on Throne

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has rejoiced with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II CFR, on his 10th coronation anniversary.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari who described Oba Ogunwusi as a phenomenal traditional ruler with strong penchant for national interest stressed that his crucial contributions to security, unity and social harmony has inspired widespread public support for him in the last years of his enthronement as the 51st Ooni of Ile-Ife.

This is contained in a goodwill message issued by the Emir’s Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, adding that the celebrant has driven significant national interest, often involving deep commitment to shared cultural values, prosperity, and collective well-being among others.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also recalled Oba Ogunwusi’s visit to the ancient palace of Ilorin at the earlier periods of his ancession to the throne, championing unity in diversity, and with frequent interactions, showing mutual respect and cultural exchange.

The monarch however, on behalf of the entire members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council wished His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II CFR more years of peaceful reigns on the throne.

He also thanked the government and people of Osun State as well as the Federal Government of Nigeria for supporting Oba Ogunwusi in his quest for peaceful coexistence across the nation.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore prayed that Almighty Allah continue to strengthen and protect the celebrant in order to witness years on the revered stool of Ile-Ife.
