A Report according to Channels TV reports. indicates that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday arrested former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos,
Obiano, was on his way out of the country to Houston, Texas in the United States when he was arrested by the EFCC at about 8.30 pm.
Obiano has been on the Commission’s watchlist for some time now Kanyidaily reveals the EFCC requested the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to inform them anytime Willie Obiano is traveling out of the country from any of the international airports, as well as other points of entry and exit.
The EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, who spoke to Vanguard confirmed Obiano’s arrest, saying the ex-governor is currently in police custody in Lagos pending further actions by the anti-graft agency.
This is coming hours after his wife, Ebelechukwu, got slapped at Soludo’s inauguration.
