The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that 964 cases of the novel virus was recorded in Nigeria on Sun day, January 24, 2021.

The reports from the health agency revealed that Lagos State recorded the highest of the day with 360 cases. Below is the breakdown of the remaining cases among other states.

FCT-88, Ogun-73, Imo-72, Kaduna-67, Plateau-57, Abia-41, Osun-41, Rivers-32, Kano-26, Niger-24, Benue-23, Edo-20, Cross River-20, Akwa Ibom-8, Nasarawa-6, Zamfara-6, Ekiti-6 and Jigawa-4.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 121,566. Meanwhile, 97,228 people have been discharged from various isolation centers while 1,504 people have died.
