Court Petition: Pre Hearing Continues After Tinubu’s Inauguration

According to the news that was shared by the Channels Television on twitter, they disclosed to us that the pre hearing will alledgedly continue even after the APC president elect, Tinubu gets sworn in on May 29th.

All three parties are challenging the outcome of the presidential election which took place on February 25th, 2023. The APC presidential candidate, Tinubu won the election while others are against his victory and they took their grievances to court.

Justice Haruna, who happens to be the Chairman of the Tribunal, made it known to us on Tuesday while presenting the court pre hearing report that the presidential election petition court has consolidated all the petition filled by the three political parties; The Labour Party, the People Democratic Party and the Allied People’s Movement.

According to report, it alledgedly means that Tinubu’s Inauguration will still hold on May 29th, while the court petition will commence May 30th. They made a statement saying;

“Hearing for the consolidated suit is to commence on May 30 across the board while Labour Party and the PDP would close theirs on June 23″.
