A corps member has cried out on social media after his mother was kidnapped in Kogi state while travelling by road to Abuja.
Mother Reportedly Taken From Bus in Kabba
The heartbroken son, identified on X as @dope_demonxx, said his mother was on a commercial bus heading to Abuja when kidnappers struck in Kabba.
He explained that the last time they spoke, she told him she was already in the Kabba axis before communication suddenly went dead.
Viral Video Shows Passengers Abducted
His post came shortly after @abujastreets shared disturbing videos showing passengers being kidnapped from a bus on November 27, 2025.
The videos’ caption expressed frustration over rising insecurity, saying: “Apparently everyone on this bus was kidnapped earlier today in Kabba, Kogi state. Broad daylight bro… We are tired!!!”
Son Shares His Panic Online
The situation worsened after relatives of the victims started receiving ransom calls.
According to @dope_demonxx, negotiations have begun, but the kidnappers are making the process frustrating.
He said: “Nigeria don finally happen to me. Bandits don kidnap my mom. Haaa where do I start from?”
He added: “The issue still stands on 60 million. We’re trying to negotiate with them, but the number they provided is off for now till evening before we try it again. They call each family that was kidnapped randomly with different amounts. We’re in so much pain. Many children are with them 💔.”
He also shared more details in the comment section, saying: “She was going to Abuja today. The last we heard from her, she said she was in Kabba.”

His posts drew huge attention online, with many users expressing sympathy and praying for the safe return of his mother and other victims.
Others called for urgent action from authorities, stressing that kidnappings in Kogi and nearby areas have become increasingly frequent.
