The Citizenship Media Limited, publishers of Citizenship Daily, Citizenship Weekend and Citizenship online newspapers has formally announced operations of titles in its platform.
A statement in Abuja on Monday by Saidu Abubakar (PhD), the General Manager, Administration of the Citizenship Media Limited said the company was glad to introduce the newspaper to the general public.
The Motto or slogan of the newspaper as given by the management is: “Inform the citizens, empower the nation” .
It said the Citizenship Newspaper, a digital, online and offline news platform, had published its debut preview edition on Monday, February 12, 2024, although its online edition had been afloat earlier.
“We are committed to independent journalism practice for truth, justice and development,” the newspaper said.
“Our mission is to provide timely, accurate, and insightful news coverage that will defend the citizens and promote informed discourse for a just and prosperous society,” the management said.
It added: “Citizenship Media Limited is a digital, online, and offline publishing company committed to reporting news in defence of citizens, promoting good governance and exposing corruption via investigative reporting, solutions and data-driven journalism.
“Our platform features a wide range of categories, including news, breaking news, politics, human interest, investigative report, crime, terrorism, crime, environment, business, entertainment, aviation, agriculture, sports, and opinion.
“The newspaper also envisions a society where citizens are well-informed, engaged, and empowered to participate and bring about positive social change for development.”
It said its team of experienced journalists and writers is dedicated to delivering high-quality content that meets the needs of diverse audiences across social classes, with the citizen being at the centre of it.
