Businesswoman decries high rate of infidelity amongst married couples in Abuja

An Abuja-based woman, Thurayyah Ahmad has raised an alarm over the rate at which married men and women cheat on their partners.

She said there is a trend of married people in the Federal Capital Territory sleeping with other individuals for the sake of monetary gains.

Thurayyah condemned them for not have self respect, and said that as a married woman, she would keep herself busy with work than follow men for money.

The Tech founder said she feels ashamed on their behalf because most of them are earning handsomely at their places of work.

She wrote; “I really don’t understand what is going on in this Abuja. The trend of married women and men dating other people because of money. Where is the self-respect? I’d rather lull myself with work than take a man’s money. And most of them have jobs and are earning decently. Like what exactly are you looking for?”

When a Twitter user @HausaRoom wrote; Lol people with this mindset are not that much though. Soft life is everything in Abuja or the notion of it.

She replied; “Wallahi it is so shameful, I feel ashamed on their behalf”

Meanwhile a 33-year-old man has gone online to seek help with searching for a woman who shares the same values with him so that he can marry her.

He wrote to an online counselor to help connect him with a lady who has the qualities he is looking for in a wife.

The man, who revealed he is still a virgin said he’s never been in a relationship all his life and he’s scared of the modern day woman who are very active n the bedroom.

He specifically asked for a lady that’s also a virgin like him, and would love to keep their chastity till marriage.

According to him, a woman between 21 to 22 years he can put his trust in and build a peaceful home with is the type he wants.
