Burna Boy bemoans racial discrimination abroad, asks blacks to unite

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Damini Ogulu known by his stage name, Burna Boy, has taken to social media to call on all black Americans and Africans to unit for the advancement of the race.

He penned a though-provoking post about racial differences in the United States of America and how blacks in the country see themselves as being superior to Africans.

The Grammy winner expressed disappointment that there are blacks who wish that the race remains divided so that they can lay claim to lands in US.

According to Burna Boy, all he ever fights for is for all blacks to know that they are one whether they are born in Africa or elsewhere.

He stressed that only a united front will take the race to greater heights.

Burna Boy said; “It’s sad to see that in 2023 there are still such black people who would prefer we stay divided and conquered. Maybe it’s my accent or something but I never said you are African and not American. I also did not say Africa is part of Heaven. You deserve all the Land and reparations you want from America and I’m 100% in support of that.

All I’ve ever done is try to make you understand that you have Africa too that loves you and I believe coming together as brothers and sisters is the only way forward for US black people worldwide. You work against the progress of our people worldwide if your goal is to keep us divided.”

Meanwhile, this comes as Ugandan singer and media personality Ben made a passionate appeal to his male counterparts from Nigeria.

He begged Nigerian men living in Uganda to leave their girls alone and try making advances at girls from other countries.

Ben lamented that the men are always taking away Ugandan girls and it has become an issue of national concern.

The young man threatened to report the matter to President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni so that he can use his powers to stop Nigerian men.
