Former Super Eagles player, Baldwin Bazuaye, has rallied support for new coach Eric Chelle.
Bazuaye, in an exclusive interview, further said it is important for the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The erstwhile Technical Adviser of Katsina United and Bendel Insurance noted that Chelle has something to offer, “which was why someone could see him and refer him, so he has come to work. I read some of the criticisms and could only laugh.”
He pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with Chelle, stressing that all hands must be on deck this time for the “Eagle” to fly high and far.
Recall that Bazuaye was among the Nigeria team that won the first ever U-16 World Cup in China on August 11th 1985.
The squad was mad of schoolboys picked up from all over the country.
