Barcelona Would Have Lost 3 More Players From Their 2015 UCL Winning Squad By The End Of This Season

The last time that Barcelona won the UEFA Champions League trophy was at the end of the 2014/15 season when they won a treble, under Spanish Gaffer Luis Enrique.

The Catalans have tried to compete for the UEFA Champions League trophy since then but, they have had a tough luck in the European tournament.

Within that time and now, their local rival Real Madrid has won the UEFA Champions League trophy 4 times, including winning it back-to-back from 2016 to 2018 while Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Chelsea has also emerged as UEFA Champions League Winners since Barcelona last won it.

The Catalans have lost a lot of Players From the squad that won the UEFA Champions League trophy in the 2014/15 season across the past seasons. By the end of this season, Barcelona would have lost 3 more Players from that UEFA Champions League squad.

The attacking trio that delivered that title for them in 2015 Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr have all left the club few seasons ago. Andre Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic, Dani Alves and Javier Mascherano have also left the club before this season.

Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Marc Andre Ter Stegen all started this season with Barcelona but Gerard Pique has already left them before the January transfer window.

According to Football Transfer, both Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba are also expected to leave Barcelona at the end of this season. This season alone, the trio of Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets, who all helped Barcelona to bring the UEFA Champions League trophy to Camp Nou in 2015, will all be out of the squad.
