The complaint by the Australian Muslim Advocacy Network was over comments such as “’Ramadan means killing infidels’ and claims that the Qur’an should be referred to as the ‘terrorist handbook’. Comments cited in the complaint refer to the Qur’an as ‘this satanic memoir’ and to Islam as ‘the most violent and sexually perverse cult.’”
The posts that drew the ire of the Australian Muslim Advocacy Network can indeed be deemed “offensive” and may not be the style of other critics of problematic Islamic doctrines, but they did not promote violence. The posts did not refer to Muslims, since not all Muslims adhere to violent jihad doctrine. The posts referred to the ideologies included in Islamic texts (particularly the Qur’an) that drive groups such as ISIS, al-Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. A few examples:

“Warfare is commanded for you, even though it is odious for you, but it may happen that you hate something that is good for you, and it may happen that you love something that is bad for you. Allah knows, you do not know.” Qur’an 2:216
“We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve because they ascribe partners to Allah, for which no justification has been revealed. Their dwelling is the fire, and wretched is the dwelling place of the wrongdoers.” Qur’an 3:151
“Let those who sell the life of this world for the next fight in the way of Allah. Whoever fights in the way of Allah, whether he is killed or victorious, on him we will bestow a great reward.” Qur’an 4:74
“Those of the believers who sit still, other than those who have an injury, are not equal with those who wage jihad in the way of Allah with their wealth and lives. Allah has conferred on those who wage jihad with their wealth and lives a rank above the sedentary. Allah has promised good to each, but he has bestowed on those who wage jihad a great reward above that of the sedentary.” Qur’an 4:95
“The only reward for those who make war upon Allah and his messenger and struggle to sow corruption on earth will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off on opposite sides, or be expelled from the land. Such will be their degradation in this world, and in the hereafter, theirs will be an awful doom.” Qur’an 5:33

We are aware of what we commanded them regarding their wives and those whom their right hands possess, so that you may be free from blame, for Allah is always for- giving, merciful.” Qur’an 33:50
“O prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their veils close around them. That will be better, so that they may be recognized and not molested. Allah is always forgiving, merciful.” Qur’an 33:59

On the first day of Ramadan March 23, 2023, Palestinian journalist Rashid Hassan published in the Jordanian daily Al-Dustour a column titled “Ramadan, the Month of Jihad”:
In it, he stressed that the most important aspect of Ramadan is that it is the month of jihad and martyrdom, as evident from the fact that the most important and decisive victories in Muslim history occurred during this month. He therefore called on the Palestinians to mobilize and come to Jerusalem during Ramadan in order to defend Al-Aqsa, and urged the Muslim nation to stand with the Palestinian people, stop the normalization with Israel and sever their ties with the Jews, who “do not honor any covenant or promise and are naturally disposed to treachery.”
The Australian Muslim Advocacy Network was welcome to refute the “offensive comments” posted on Twitter. But instead, the group argued “that, as a publisher, Twitter Australia and Twitter Inc are responsible for content posted by a far-right account that has been referred to in the manifesto of a white supremacist and mass murderer.”
Twitter is not responsible. Any lunatic could attack anyone and then blame someone else. Anyone who shines light on problem (even if the criticism is phrased offensively) is not responsible for the reaction that others take. If someone criticizes the KKK as violent murderers and someone else goes on a rampage to murder people who are associated with the KKK, it is not the fault of the critic. The murderer is the one who must face the full extent of the law. Does the Australian Muslim Advocacy Network have problems with the ongoing genocide against Christians and the Muslim persecution of religious minorities, including minority Muslim groups?
Also, Facebook “auto-created pages for ISIS and Al-Qaeda,” while Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)posted dramatic Ramadan programming “with scenes of daring prison breaks and murder of Israeli citizens.” No one heard any outcry from the Australian Muslim Advocacy Network over such posts, which actively promote the savaging of innocent people.
Last June, upon the swearing-in of Australia’s first Muslim government ministers, Ed Husic and Anne Aly, who emphasized their Muslim identity, Rita Jabri-Markwell from the Australian Muslim Advocacy Network stated that “having people of the Muslim faith represented in the ministry would also help guard against the sentiments of Islamophobia in the community.”
Yet Western leaders have not caught on to the underlying supremacism of far too many Islamic lobbies, which dedicate their efforts to the interests of Islam over those of the infidel host countries in which they live. This includes persistent efforts to stifle the freedom of speech, the cornerstones of every free society.

Twitter has lost a bid to have a complaint by an advocacy group for Australian Muslims thrown out after they accused the platform of failing to take action against accounts that incite hatred.
The Australian Muslim Advocacy Network (Aman) lodged a complaint to the Queensland Human Rights Commission (QHRC) last June. They argued that, as a publisher, Twitter Australia and Twitter Inc are responsible for content posted by a far-right account that has been referred to in the manifesto of a white supremacist and mass murderer.
Aman says the platform has repeatedly refused to delete the account or take down replies to its posts which refer to the Qur’an as “the terrorist handbook” and to Islam as “the most violent and sexually perverse cult”.
The complaint to the commission contained 419 items, including 29 tweets it claims incited hatred and 390 comments and quotes on those tweets.
Aman made the complaint under Queensland’s Anti-Discrimination Act, alleging Twitter incited hatred as a publisher of third-party accounts, as well as discrimination for refusing to take action against hateful content.
Twitter hit back at the complaint, arguing it should be dismissed as it was “misconceived” and “lacking in substance”, according to a letter detailing the QHRC’s decision…..
