After Tinubu Suspends CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele From Office, DSS Did Their Job By Arresting Him

The Department Of State Services, DSS have arrested the suspended governor of the Central Bank Of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele
This arrest is coming shortly after the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu had reportedly suspended the Central Bank governor, Godwin Emefiele from office.
However, a report shared by the Daily Post notes that the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed an acting governor of the central Bank Of Nigeria, Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi, who is the deputy governor to the Central Bank Governor, as replacement for Godwin Emefiele.
According to a statement published by the Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey on Friday, it states partly, “The Central Bank Governor has been directed to immediately hand over the affairs of his office to the Deputy Governor, Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi, who will act as the Central Bank Governor pending the conclusion of the investigation.”
