Activist Aisha Yesufu Opens Up On Looming EndSars-Like Protest Over Bottled Anger In The Country

Aisha Yesufu, a sociopolitical activist, has warned of a protest that will be even more devastating than the nationwide “End SARS” event in 2020.
According to the slogan, the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police was to be dismantled.
The protest, which began on Twitter, swept throughout Nigeria’s major cities and was accompanied by violence, which resulted in the deaths of many young Nigerians.
Aisha Yesufu, one of the protesting campaigners, claimed that Nigerians may simply be unprepared for what is about to unfold.
“Nobody saw the #EndSARS protest coming. Nobody will see the next uprising coming,” she wrote on X.
“Sadly, it might end up being violent. There is a simmering anger fueled by the impunity and brazenness of the corrupt politicians and rulers who have rigged their way into power. Nobody will be spared.”
