Latifah has also achieved success in the movie industry, she has been starred in over 60 movies and has won multiple movie awards. Today, she is recognized as one of the most award winning actress in America.

• Famous American singer, Rihanna got many surprised wen she showed her amazing acting skills in the 2012 movie, Battleship.

Rihanna made her acting debut in a cameo role in the straight-to-DVD film Bring It On: All or Nothing, released in August 2006 and Since then, she continued featuring in blockbuster movies.

• Nicki Minaj is an American rapper and songwriter. Her songs have earned for fame in the world’s Entertainment industry. Aside singing, she is fashion influencers and an actress.

She has made appearance in popular movies like Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012), The Other Woman (2014), Barbershop: The Next Cut (2016), The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019) and others.

• Jennifer Hudson is another artist that has received different accolades for both her music and acting, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and two Grammy Awards. 

She featured in famous movies like Sex and the city, Back Nativity and other interesting movies.

Nigerian female musicians are also doing great in the movies industry as a number of them have contributed to the success of Nigerian movie industry.

• Beautiful Nigerians singer, Yemi Alade is one of the Nigerian artists that fall under this category. She has made her debut in Nollywood. She has appreared in multiple blockbuster movies where she displayed a great performance. • Nigerian music star and songwriter, Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua professionally known as Seyi Shay is not left out as she was featured in the 2018 movie titled “Lara and the Beat”, where she played the role of Lara.
